The short answer
Fifteen people is where per-workspace pricing is weakest. PLYNTUM’s 11th member moves the workspace from Core ($120) to Scale ($360 billed annually), so at 11 to 14 people PLYNTUM costs more than a tool at $25 a seat. At exactly 15 the two meet. Scale also adds the workload and capacity view and renewal workflows, which Core does not have.
Cost for 15 people, tool by tool
List prices billed annually, shown per month, before tax (checked 25 September 2026), unless the row says otherwise. Where a vendor has a seat minimum, the table bills the minimum. “Approval” means a manager approves timesheets on that plan, as the vendor’s pricing page states it. - Workamajig prices are per user on monthly billing. Paying a year upfront makes one month free, which gives the prepaid figure: 11 ÷ 12 of the monthly bill.
- monday.com: seats are sold from 3; monday.com’s seat picker sets the exact sizes, so confirm the seat count at checkout. The figure is for exactly 15 seats.
- Asana: its own pages disagree on which plans can buy Timesheets & Budgets. The add-on page lists Starter and above; the add-on card on the pricing page says Enterprise. The figure assumes the add-on can be bought with Advanced, so confirm with Asana.
- Harvest bills some usage, such as additional invoices, projects, clients and tasks, by use. The amounts are not on Harvest’s pricing page, so the Harvest figures here exclude them.
The arithmetic and the crossover
- 11 to 14 people: a $25 seat costs $275 to $350; PLYNTUM Scale costs $360. The per-seat tool is cheaper.
- 15 people: $375 against $360. About even.
- 16 to 25 people: the per-seat bill keeps rising by $25 a person, to $625 at 25. Scale stays at $360. The 25-person comparison shows the full table at that size.
- Per person on PLYNTUM: Scale is $24 a person at 15 members and $14.40 at 25.
When another option is cheaper at 15 people
- You do not need invoicing in the same tool. monday.com Pro ($285 for 15 seats) is cheaper and has more views and automations; invoices would live elsewhere.
- A light all-in-one is enough. Paymo Pro ($253.50 billed annually) has approval and invoicing.
- You price by organization. Bitrix24 Standard covers up to 50 users for $99; its task time tracking is on Professional, $199.
- You are 11 to 14 people and not growing. Then PLYNTUM Scale is the more expensive choice on price alone.
