The concepts PLYNTUM uses, each defined to stand on its own, with planned features marked as planned.","sections":[{"heading":"CRM (customer relationship management)","html":"
CRM, customer relationship management, is the software and practice a company uses to keep every contact, organization and sales opportunity in one shared record, so the team can see the history with a client and the next step. In PLYNTUM, CRM core covers contacts, organizations, opportunities, a sales pipeline and manual follow-ups for eligible users from Launch; inbox channels are a separate rollout, and emailing proposals to clients is not available yet.

Full entry

Related page
"},{"heading":"Business workspace","html":"
A business workspace is one system where a company keeps its work, clients, people, time and money as connected records instead of in separate tools. In PLYNTUM, a task, the client it belongs to, the hours spent on it and the invoice that follows are linked, so a question about one of them can be answered from the others.

Related page
"},{"heading":"Company workspace","html":"
A company workspace is the separate space one company’s records live in. People who work for several companies use one PLYNTUM account and switch between workspaces; each workspace keeps its own clients, tasks, finances, members and permissions, and access in one does not carry over to another.

Related page
"},{"heading":"Connected records","html":"
Connected records are entries that reference each other rather than being copied between tools: a task links to its client and project, logged time to the task, invoices to the client, and costs to the project. The benefit is traceability — a figure in a report can be followed back to the work behind it.
"},{"heading":"Work management","html":"
Work management is the day-to-day organization of tasks, owners, deadlines and priorities across a team. Project management plans one project to a defined end; work management covers everything a team is doing at once. PLYNTUM combines both on company boards with list, board, calendar, week and timeline views.

Full entry

Related page
"},{"heading":"Client management","html":"
In a delivery business, client management means keeping what was agreed with a client next to the work done for them: agreements, requests, projects, approvals and history. In PLYNTUM the client record connects to its projects and work history, so a new teammate can see what was promised without searching email and chat.

Full entry

Related page
"},{"heading":"Team capacity","html":"
Team capacity is how much more work people can take on, given their current assignments, attendance and recorded effort. Checking it before accepting a request prevents a deadline from slipping because the same person was assigned again. In PLYNTUM, the workload and capacity view on the Scale plan shows assignments, attendance and recorded time together for this decision.

Full entry

Related page
"},{"heading":"Private time capture","html":"
Private time capture records application names, domains and active duration so a person can reconstruct their working day, and keeps that activity private until the person reviews it. It excludes screenshots, keystrokes, page contents and document titles, and managers do not receive a raw activity feed. In PLYNTUM this capture experience is in development.

Related page
"},{"heading":"Approved time","html":"
Approved time is working time that a person has reviewed and linked to a task or client and that a manager has accepted, as opposed to raw tracked activity. In PLYNTUM, from Core, a manager approves each person’s week, which locks it; project cost counts all logged time, so approving every week keeps cost and approved time the same.

Full entry

Related page
"},{"heading":"Operational finance","html":"
Operational finance is the money side of daily delivery: invoices, payments, expenses, receivables and what each project costs. It is not accounting or tax filing. In PLYNTUM these records sit next to the projects and clients they belong to, so a team can see what was collected and what is still due.

Full entry

Related page
"},{"heading":"Delivery cost","html":"
Delivery cost is what it costs a company to produce the work for a project: logged hours multiplied by the cost of those hours, plus direct expenses. For example, 120 hours at $35 is $4,200; with $1,000 of direct expenses the delivery cost is $5,200.

Full entry

Related page
"},{"heading":"Contribution before overhead","html":"
Contribution before overhead is project value minus delivery cost, before company-wide costs such as rent or management are allocated. A project worth $8,000 with $5,200 of delivery cost contributes $2,800, or 35%. It shows which work pays for the company, which a revenue figure alone cannot.

Full entry

Related page
"},{"heading":"Requests and approvals","html":"
Requests and approvals give each internal request, such as leave, remote work, new equipment or a one-off decision, a person who decides, a recorded decision and a history. In PLYNTUM the decision and its details stay with the request; client work goes onto projects as tasks instead.

Full entry

Related page
"},{"heading":"Partner workspace","html":"
A partner workspace is a separate company workspace in which a partner evaluates PLYNTUM with its own records, members and agreed access. It keeps the evaluation organised without mixing the partner’s data with another company’s operations.

Related page
"},{"heading":"Traceable business reporting","html":"
Traceable business reporting builds reports from the same records the team works in, so every figure can be followed back to the projects, time and costs that produced it. PLYNTUM’s operational and financial reports work this way instead of combining exports from separate tools.

Related page
"},{"heading":"AI Board","html":"
The AI Board is PLYNTUM’s planned view of business risks, warnings and positive changes, where each finding shows the records behind it and suggests a next step using only information the viewer is allowed to access. It is in development and is not active in current plans.

Related page
"},{"heading":"Task Composer","html":"
Task Composer is a planned PLYNTUM feature that turns a written brief into a draft plan — deliverables, subtasks, acceptance criteria, dates, dependencies and suggested owners — and highlights missing information before the team reviews and assigns the work. It is in development.

Related page
"},{"heading":"Time Intelligence","html":"
Time Intelligence is a PLYNTUM capability in development that suggests which task or client a stretch of reviewed activity belongs to. The person accepts or changes each suggestion; nothing becomes logged time without that review.

Related page
"},{"heading":"Business risk score","html":"
The business risk score is the result of PLYNTUM’s free business scan: 21 self-assessment questions across seven areas — money, time, margin, cash, focus, execution and data hygiene — scored from 0 to 100, where a higher score means more areas to review. It is a self-assessment based on published rules, not a measured financial loss.

Related page
"},{"heading":"Retainer","html":"
A retainer is a fixed monthly fee a client pays for an agreed scope of ongoing work, such as social media management or a set number of deliverables. It drifts when the scope grows but the fee does not. In PLYNTUM a client can carry a monthly retainer fee and monthly deliverables, and the hours logged on its work are recorded against the retainer, so the hours the fee assumed can be compared with the hours actually worked each month.

Full entry

Related page
"},{"heading":"Unbilled work","html":"
Unbilled work is effort spent for a client that never reaches an invoice: extra revision rounds, requests agreed in chat, hours logged to a general task or not logged at all. It is the most common reason a project that looked profitable was not. In PLYNTUM every logged hour belongs to a task, and a task belongs to a client and a project, so work that grew beyond the agreement is visible before the invoice goes out.

Full entry

Related page
"},{"heading":"Accounts receivable","html":"
Accounts receivable is the money clients owe a business for work already invoiced: the invoice has been sent, but the payment has not arrived. It is usually grouped by days overdue, so the oldest debts are followed up first. In PLYNTUM, receivables sit on each client on every plan and show which invoices are unpaid and for how long; payments are recorded by hand against the invoice when the money reaches the bank. PLYNTUM does not collect payments online and is not accounting software.

Full entry

Related page
"}]}}
